What is it about a novel that compels you to read it cover to cover?
This Nearly Was Mine is a novel that clearly belongs in the compelling read category.
For me, Ms. Farkas' novel weaves an authentic tale that is both captivating and well-written. Not to mention funny- and an element of humor is always welcome. Her heartfelt story swept me along beside her, page by page. I laughed. I worried. I wanted to know everything about her character, Annie, and how she would resolve her conflicts. Stated simply, I cared. As an added bonus, please note the edification along the way regarding how movies impact our lives. Ms. Farkas is quite the serious movie buff.
To best describe the read, I felt as if I had taken a long afternoon walk with a dear friend on a spectacular day. She opened her heart and revealed a gripping story. My response - what a warm, spirited, intelligent woman. I yearn to know her better.
I have one question for the author.
When will we be able to read your next book, Ms. Farkas?
